Oxygen / nitrogen generating unit integrated into a harsh environment  [ Return towards  Oxygen / nitrogen production  ]

This unit generates oxygen and nitrogen based on gas separation technologies at ambient temperature for harsh environments such as an aircraft-carrier or a container for military field hospitals.

The DOS (Deployable Oxygen System) provides breathable oxygen with a purity that meets the American USP93 pharmacopoeia requirements and can supply up to 9 patients.
It replaces gaseous or liquid oxygen production and storage lines that needed costly logistics to supply patients with oxygen in particularly remote locations. This equipment eliminates the safety risks associated with the transportation of cumbersome oxygen cylinders in sensitive areas.

It has been designed to be easy to dispatch and sufficiently sturdy for use in a harsh military environment. It can be carried by 4 men using the handles.

When connected to the electricity supply, the DOS supplies gas containing 93 % oxygen based on PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology, at a flow ranging from 0 to 45 Nlpm and at a pressure of 50 psig +/-10 %. The purity and pressure of the filtered oxygen are continuously monitored to ensure it is being used safely.

Key benefits

  • Easy-to-use: no special technical skills are required

Key technical characteristics

Specifications on request - Example of implementation:

  • Oxygen generation
The 99.5% oxygen generating unit is designed to meet the following requirements:
    Normal operation: 50 to 100 Nm3/day
Oxygen distribution in gaseous form up to 250 bars or liquid
  • Nitrogen generation
    Production: 100 to 200 Nm3/day
Nitrogen distribution in gaseous form up to 250 bars
  • Gas quality is continuously monitored in respect of each unit so that the purity of the gases generated can be verified
